Early on Friday afternoon, South Africa's Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, who is the president of COP17, gave a statement indicating that, while negotiations are taking longer than anticipated, it is hoped that the extra time will allow for a better outcome.
